Yep, the forums and the main site are both down, ever since the patch from last night. This happened last year also after the release of Epic 4! Expect a brand spanking new website due to the maintenance. Oddly enough the GMs didn’t tell anyone about the site going down or anything. Oh well heres the official note by the way.

This website is under maintenance. Please come back to check tonight(after 8 PM - PST).
However, you can still continue playing the game using the game client.

The cash shop and the other services from gPotato still work normally.

I initially reported that the Rappelz Site and Forums were just down due to unknown reasons and assumed a new site was up just like last year, but after looking at AlizarinHQ, it has been reported that both sites were ‘allegedly’ hacked.

I want to warn all rappelz players about the recent and frequent account hacking cases happened recently.
Many players have found their accounts completely “cleaned”, even people who never shared their account with anyone.
This morning, the official rappelz website was hacked, instead of going to http://rappelz.gpotato.com/, it was redirecting to http://hk.youtube.com/watch?v=LXQDVTSxd48 …
I suggest that ALL OF YOU keep your password secrets, don’t use 3rd party programs, like bots, and in particular be careful of fake login pages (note: he refers to phishing) who promise free stuff but ask for account data to access them.
If you want to feel a bit safer, change your password using a random sequence of numbers and letters.

I’ll report more when I get more information.

At this point of time it looks like the group TheDefaced was behind this, at least they got a interesting Youtube video I can’t stop listening to

Let me further comment on how random sequences and symbols in your password is important. It makes it alot harder than if you password was a dictionary word.

After the hacked yesterday the GMs didn’t put up patch notes after the end of the maintenance. Here it is placed in the FRONT of the page. LoL a first.

Server List Change - The order in which the servers appear at the server selection screen has been changed to the following:

1. Tanda

2. Salamander

3. Yeti

4. Lydian

5. Bahamut

6. Tortus

7. Pantera

Rebirth Scroll - Bug where the Rebirth Scroll could not be stored or traded has been fixed.

Temple of Ancients - Bug where players were not able to time attack, siege, and/or own the Temple of Ancients has been fixed.

Miscellaneous text changes and minor bug fixes.

Now people can own the forsaken Temple of the Ancients (sucky dungeon) and no more complaining of the Rebirth Scroll lol.
